【Windmill|風車】Eco World Under the Windmills World Culture Festival |荷蘭風車節

August 9, 2015, Sunday
✈1
Is the next day after the orchid floria and it's so weird to me, as for my weekly routine, if I went out on Saturday and I will be home on Sunday. But this one, I mean that was the last day of the event.
 *************************************************************************

✈2
Here's the one, one of my blogger friend, baoqiong tag me on Facebook about this event, because she knew I'm obsessed to visit the one organize in Johor before, but in the end I still miss it before it ends.
 *************************************************************************

✈3
And here I come to this place, follow waze passed by the Semenyih downtown and found it in the end. Before it I was like where's Semenyih ya? Is that very far from my place?? Actually not though, just an hour drive without any jam.
 *************************************************************************

✈4
It was so freaking crowded, like I never expect so many people, due to that we got to park our car like few miles away. Thank god they have this shuffle bus that carry people from  the parking to here.
 *************************************************************************

✈5
And due to the hot weather, my mom started to complain that she shouldn't come with me, she would rather sit at home relaxing and watching her TV. Yup, in the end my mom decided to come with me, but actually I felt bad after that, because she got to sit at a place which has covered to wait for me until I finish all the photos taking.
 *************************************************************************

✈6
This is right in front of the entrance, when she came in that time, she straight away went into this and said I wait you here. Then I asked her don't you want to walk around? Nope she said, see from here is enough and look like the sun...
 *************************************************************************

✈7
It has roughly seven windmills in total, went along around the lake then should be able to see all the windmills. Is like no kidding, almost everybody is holding an umbrella.
 *************************************************************************

✈8
I start from the right, first to introduce name of the lake is called Swan Lake, then in front of it is Minion windmill... Seriously, don't even think of to get pictures without anybody inside, because the crowds everybody this is busy stand besides the windmill and ready to pose and have a picture with it, like this one, I only can shoot it from the side, because groups and groups of people were there standby to grab a picture with it.
 *************************************************************************

✈9
The Bembridge Windmill ~ The Bembridge Windmill is the only surviving windmill on the Isle of Wight. Built in around 1700, it last operated in 1913 but still has most of its original machinery intact.

✈10
The lake looks like kind of small, but when you start walking is like...where's the end of it, why is it not there yet... and here's the starting, more to go...
 *************************************************************************

✈11
The Molen Windmill ~ Since its opening in 2003, the Molen Windmill has been a huge Foxton attraction and very much part of the Foxton community. The windmill was built and is still managed by volunteers from within the Foxton community and it is run by a charitable trust organisation.

✈12
They've a signboard beside the windmill stated the name and history of the windmill (Since I was there in a rush time so I took picture of all the signboards then read all back home, actually that's pretty great. At least I'm not just having the photos of them but also know what they are)  Meanwhile on the ground, they did put a sticker of the next windmill, pretty cool ya!
 *************************************************************************

✈13
The Elphin Windmill ~ The Elphin Windmill is the only fully restored windmill in the west of Ireland. The Elphin Windmill was originally used for grinding corn and other grains. Now, it  houses a visitor center where the workings of the windmills are interpreted and demonstrated.

✈14
✈15
I thought this windmill festival is only about the windmill. Nope, I was wrong, it's about Eco World property, so some people are here to see the showing house. But I didn't follow the crowds...I was there truly to see the windmills, don't get distracted.
 *************************************************************************

✈16
The Rottingdeam Windmill ~ The Rottingdean Windmill is believed to have been erected on Beacon Hill in 1802. The carved initials - TB, which stands for Thomas Beard, who is the owner of the windmill - can be seen on one of the original internal timbers.

✈17
✈18
✈19
The Fabyan Windmill ~ The 68-foot, 5-storey Fabyan Windmill was originally built by Louis Blackhaus, a German craftsman, between 1850 and 1860. The Windmill originally stood on a site in what is now Lombard, Illinois.

✈20
Another Minion Windmill, don't why they don't want to put them side by side, this one like so far away from the first one. Is like being abandoned here so pity...(just only my thoughts and imaginations, okay!)
 *************************************************************************

✈21
Small and big little windmills were placed on both side of the road, I saw lots of people took it out take pictures and never put it back on. As adult doing so, the children did the same thing as well. Nearby the entrance there has an keep ongoing announcement said that please don't take it, if everybody takes it then there're nothing left for the late comers. Which is true, right? But why people kept on doing it and holding it to walk like nobody business??
 *************************************************************************

✈22
✈23
✈24
✈25

✈26
The Swan Windmill ~ De Zwaan is a Dutch windmill in the city of Holland, Michigan. The windmill's name is Dutch for the The Swan, and it is the only authentic, working Dutch windmill in the United States.

✈27
The West Kingsdown ~ The West Kingsdown Windmill was built in the 1800s, and moved from Farningham in 1880. Today, most of its machinery are still intact, although not in working conditions.

✈28
✈29
I'm pretty impress with their reused stuffs here, what a great imagination that reused it and create something very useful and nice. Unfortunately some got broken, is that it wouldn't last long or people didn't take well care of it?
 *************************************************************************

✈30
Finally is time to go. Back to where we have been dropped by just now, there's free shuttle bus carry you back in front of your car. Didn't take that long to queue, because the shuttle bus is not those small one but is those big long bus.
 *************************************************************************

  1. hahaha, so you usually only choose to hang out on either one day during the weekend?? good also for a balance, one day fully exhaust yourself, one day fully recharge yourself at home to welcome a new week of work.. :)

I've not seen a real windmill before, guess these mini ones are good to let us learn about the different kinds of windmills in different places.. too bad your mum was too tired, hehe!! :)
