【Random|隨意】Footbridge|行人天橋

March 17, 2014, Monday
There's a school beside the road that I've to pass by on my way home and most of the time it was rush hour period when parents picked up their children, realized they'll parked their car opposite of the road!!! After they picked up the children, they'll bring along them and walk crossover the road but not using the footbridge......

Don't mind those parents never use the footbridge when they wanted to crossover the road, but when your children with you, shouldn't you be a example to your children, teach them to use the footbridge wisely???
****************************************

  1. Jejantas? I always use the jejantas when I cross the road.. Lastime when I was working in KL, opposite Time Sq, I always use the bridge to cross over from Time Sq to my office. Actually, cross the road using foot is faster, coz that area is ALWAYS jam, so the cars ALWAYS stop, so I can just senang-senang walk over, but I still use the bridge. Why? Coz I don't like la, motorist staring at me while I walk, teehee.. Malu..

  3. well, the parents sure have this mentality in mind:
"son, now mommy is guiding you, so it's okay that we skip the bridge and cross the road straight away.. but when you are alone, must use the bridge when you cross the road, okay?? 聽到沒有??"

  5. Must use. My daughter's coursemate ran down by mat rempit - leg broken...even though she used the traffic lights and she had the right of way - no bridge at the junction right outside their college. They don't bother about the lights or anything - best to use an overhead bridge. If there's one and people do not use, they cannot blame anybody but themselves when things happen.

    1. Yep, some times car is hard to stop when it was driving in a high speed, even the car can stop immediately can promise the car behind can stop immediately as well, it's not only danger to them also danger to the drivers too!!! =[

  6. They don't think their life is worth more than the road?
Hopefully parents can set a role model for their children to prevent such unnecessary accidents happen haiz. They should be considerate of road users (drivers) as well, coz when accident happens, I don't think it's benefit any parties loh >.<

  13. Actually I've phobia crossing the pedestrian bridge in msia. Like you won't know what will happen up there, 很怕被打抢 ~ But of course for safety purpose especially educating the young one, pedestrian bridge is still the best option !!!

  14. You are right. Parents should use the overhead pedestrian bridge for safety and also to teach their children to do the correct thing.

  15. I will use the bridge only if it is crowded. When I was working in KL long ago, I scare to walk up the bridge alone. U never know what or who you will meet up there. I still remember waiting for bus at the roadside in USJ. I met an uncle riding on the motorbike, showing me his 'birdie' ! Gosh. I was alone and you can imagine how freak out I was ! haha.....but luckily the uncle went off after a while.
