Hold the Door for Others

March 18, 2014, Tuesday
Was wondering any of you noticed about this attitude??? Sometimes I just feel strange why the person in front of me always open the door and leave and hardly met anyone would like to hold the door for someone whose behind you, doesn't matter you know the person or not...don't you think this kind of like a nice habit???
****************************************

  3. errr, i won't purposely go and hold the door lah, but then i am used to slightly look back and make sure the person right behind me is already holding the door (as in the door is not slamming him/her).. but if the person behind is too far and still need some time to come, i'll just go lah..

    1. not holding the door for the person behind still okay lah, this is a courtesy only not a compulsory thing we are obligated to do lah.. but what i hate are those who would quickly run through the little space from behind when the door is closing, as if holding the door will make their hands dirty..

    2. Oh yes, agree with you.. Like so "mou bun mei", faster & hurriedly rush through the celah pintu, scared die the hands will be dirty like that.. Aiyo, how much faster can they be wor? In fact I feel it's more dangerous to rush thorugh, coz maybe by the time they reach the celah pintu, the door will almost close liao, and could bang on their nose/face, don't you think?

  5. I do it all the time. Why, I just did it at a cafe here yesterday...and it would be nice if that yuppie (young urban professional) would have the courtesy and make a little effort to appreciate it. She did not even smile, much less say thank you! Should have slammed the door in her face! Tsk! Tsk!

  8. I always do that haha =)
Same as SK, I will hold the door to avoid slamming people face >,<
but actually everyone should be careful and keep a distance between you and the person in front of you to avoid slamming geh, same like car & car - keep a distance is better =)

  16. Haha, I really dislike people holding the door for me if I am walking slowly and still need some time to reach the door because if they hold the door open for me, I would feel pressure to have to run to the opened door so that they do not need to wait long for me. And I hate to run when walking will do.

Don't you feel pressured to run to the door if people hold it open for you and you still need some time to reach the door?
