So! End up things don't came out to be what I was expected, as like RealGunner comment, I was so close to the canal, thus I should be able to find it easily and that's what I thought too...
**************************************************************************

Stepped out from the train station, what you will see first is the tram station, it wasn't like those old fashion tram has the "ding ding" sound. This one is the modern one, most towards to be like bus to me.
**************************************************************************

Walk further up is the canal, but this is not what I think I would like to see. But was it just because it's a Europe country or what, every picture I took there, it turns out to be like very beautiful picture.
**************************************************************************

Further down is a boat station where you can take boat canal ride. I did go for a canal ride, but not at here, the one I took was near to Rijksmuseum because before that I wasn't thinking of go for a canal ride, is just a impulse feeling of want to go for a ride.
**************************************************************************

Park Plaza Victoria Amsterdam I believe this hotel has very fantastic location, where it near to almost every transport in Amsterdam and it has very wonderful architecture style too.
**************************************************************************

As towards the left a bit is a big cross road and I was stood there and don't know where to go. Fantastic! Now I got to go online and find how am gonna go to the canal housing places like I saw from online and TV.
**************************************************************************

Nonetheless, I always go to the travel blog which I like go the most, from here is where I want to go, but the thing is how to go?? (btw thankfully they've free wifi in Amsterdam, I know, even though I've bought the data card, but I seriously don't use it if I really have to)
**************************************************************************

Try to look for near to canal, hmmm....if these count? But still not bad what, it has Netherlands flag there, canal, boat and their typical houses.
**************************************************************************

In the end I follow the street and kept walking, I believe it shouldn't be faraway. It was quite early in the morning, even is difficult to look a strange/local people to ask. Gratefully I found one, she doesn't really know the place but she pointed to the door behind her, said that I can go in and ask, is a hotel inside (Cordial Hotel), the reception people should know.
**************************************************************************

She was so kind that point out where should I go and where's my location are. I always like this kind of map, because the paper map would showing typical unique landmark building nearby, so even without doing any research, from here I can know where to go and which are those buildings I should take picture.
**************************************************************************

With the red line showing where's Damrak Avenue. Seriously, I'm bringing you to see the whole Amsterdam slowly and clearly. I know this gonna be many posts in a day, but who care......!!
**************************************************************************
The pictures all so nice, like postcards and fridge magnets..
ReplyDeleteYea, like your cup coaster too.
DeleteYour pictures, not really the canals, it is near the canal exit already. But I think your next posts will reach those canals already. :P
ReplyDeleteHahahaha, not so soon.....
DeleteWhat you said is true, your canal photos look so beautiful. Really gives the full European feel. I always go on canal/river cruises when visiting foreign countries, in London, Amsterdam and Copenhagen. Very nice. I guess you enjoyed the canal cruise too.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, I did enjoy the ride.
Delete
